Eng. Martin Mutuku Nzomo FIEK, PE. is currently the acting Dean, School of Engineering and Technology (Kenyatta University), from 27th February, 2013 to Date.In the year 2000, Eng. Martin Nzomo attained a Master of Education in Vocational and Technical Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in USA.

He has also attained Master of Science in Digital Systems, School of Electronic System Design (SESD), Cranfield Institute of Technology in England in the United Kingdom in June 1984. He did a Research Thesis entitled ‘A Simulator for Digital Systems’.

He also holds a Bachelor of Science (Upper 2nd Class) Honors, in Electrical Engineering, University of Nairobi (December 1979). He is a Professional Engineer, No. A1215 by the Engineers’ Board of Kenya since 1986 and a Holder of current Engineer’s Practicing License.

He is a fellow of the Institution of Engineers' of Kenya (FIEK) No F706; 1997, a Corporate Member of the Architectural Association of Kenya (Engineers' Chapter), MAAK (E) No. 1870 since 1996 and a Full Member of the Kenya Institute of Management (MKIM) No. 03459; 1992.

His current academic work include teaching units to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th year engineering students: -Eng. Martin Mutuku Nzomo has a Thirty two years professional experience in the Kenya Public Service and held various positions including Assistant Engineer, Engineer, Senior Industrial Development Officer, Assistant Director of Industries, Senior Assistant Director of Industries, Principal-Kenya Industrial Training Institute, Deputy Director of Industries, Senior Deputy Director of Industries, and Deputy Director of Productivity.

Eng. Mwalimu K. Musau HSC, MIEK, PE, CE

Eng. Mwalimu K. Musau HSC, MIEK, PE, CE. is currently a PhD. Student at the University of Nairobi. He has previously attained MSc. Civil Engineer (Structural, Hydraulics and Transportations), Dissertation theme: “The Efficiency and Effectiveness of the existing Transportation System in both PORT LAGOS and LAGOS CAPITAL CITY”.

He obtained a certificate of registration with the Engineers’ Registration Board as a Registered Professional Engineer, Registered as a Corporate Member with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya and he is also Registered by the Engineers’ Registration Board as a Consulting Engineer.

Engineer Mwalimu Musau Successfully attended and participated in Integrated Water Resources Management course organized by Applied Training Project – Nile Basin Initiative in collaboration with Makerere University and the World Bank. He obtained a certificate on completion;2006.

He has been a Lecturer and Chairman of Building and Civil Engineering Department at Machakos University from 2015 todate.

He is a Senior Professional Practicing Fellow at Technical University of Kenya from 2015 to August 2016, Director/CEO - Kenya Water Institute (KEWI)(2005-2013), Professional Consultants as a consulting Civil and Traffic Engineer (2003 – 2004), Appointed Director to the Board of Directors for Electricity Regulatory

Board(2004-2007), Appointed Director to the Board of Directors for Coast Water Services

His FINAL STUDIES – CONSULTANCIES: ELIOLOUSTO EARTH DAM 45M HIGH, A SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT, in Rhodos the Capital of a highly touristic Rhodos Island in the South East of Greece. This town covers an area of about 10 sq. km. and accommodates over 100,000 people every summer, AN IRRIGATION PATTERN at Raxa in Trikala, Central Greece. An Irrigation layout on 10,000 hectares land with water being pumped from ten boreholes to an overhead storage tank conveniently constructed for the purpose.

Prof. Eng. Alex Munyasya Muumbo MIEK, PE. is a Production Engineer by Profession and is currently the Executive Dean, Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology Technical University of Kenya. His research work has centered mainly on Energy, Manufacturing and Foundry Engineering.

In 2003, he aquired a PhD (Materials Engineering- Simulation) from Nagoya University (Japan). He has previously acquired a MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Management from University of Bradford (U K) in 1994. He holds a B. TECH (Hons.) In Production Technology from Moi University (Eldoret – Kenya)

Professionally, he is a Corporate Member – Institution of Engineers Kenya (IEK) – Member No. M3593, Professional Engineer – Engineers Registration Board – Member No. A3199, Member Institute of Engineering Technologists (IET) – Member No. 357 - In the process of Applying for full registration, Member Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) – Member No. 43029 and a Member USDLA – United States Distance Learning Association.

He has been working as a Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technical University of Kenya from Jan 2016 – to date. He has also been the Executive Dean – FEST- Technical University of Kenya since May 2014

His academic duties include: Teaching Masters and undergraduate courses. Main courses include Principles of Engineering Design Practice, Engineering Metallic Materials, Mechanical Behavior of Solids, Foundry Technology, Introduction to Engineering, Mechanics of Composite Materials, Materials Science, Foundry Technology, Welding Technology, Plastics Technology, Materials forming technology, Engineering Quality Control, Non-Destructive Testing and Fracture Mechanics Professor Muumbo has also supervised both Masters Thesis and Undergradiate projects.
